Christmas Spirit

The spirit of Christmas still lingers the day after. Christmas Eve dinner with Brigitte, Valter & Dottie was wonderful. I'm still eating the leftovers. Our entertainment that night, besides watching the mass at the Vatican on TV, was a couple fighting on the street, which we watched from the balcony. The girlfriend grabbed the car keys from the guy and threw them in the bushes thus causing the guy to explode. He went crazy. He couldn't find the keys and went ballistic. The police came and separated the couple. The guy yelled to the girl to tell the cops that he didn't do anything wrong. He kept yelling and they handcuffed him and eventually took him away leaving the girl to search for the keys. She finally found them and turned off the cars lights and left. What a horrible Christmas Eve experience. Will there relationship survive? Who knows?

On Christmas day I joined masses of people who filled every seat for the early show of the movie version of Les Miserables. If you're a fan of this Broadway show you'll certainly love it and even if you've never seen the show it's a great movie. Hugh Jackman and Anne Hathaway are remarkable. The audience applauded at the end, something rare in the movie theatre. That night I was lucky enough to enjoy a Christmas dinner and celebration at the home of Katie Sullivan along with friends Char Libov, Ken Wilcox, Weslee Lim, Marcelo Holzinger and David Kessler.  Great food and conversation and then after dinner Katie surprised us all by playing Santa and giving us all gifts. She's an angel and we really had a wonderful Christmas. I'm hoping everyone else had a great Christmas as well and will have a Happy New Year. Soon it's back to work and this year I have to finish my book Catch A Falling Star, a hilarious murder-solving caper set in the crazy world of Hollywood with comedians, actors, and sit-com stars.
