A Rainy Day
The rain came down like a giant wet curtain closing the stage known as the beach with all the players running for shelter. Many lingered on the sidelines looking up at the sky with hope thinking this one will end, as many Miami rains do. It didn't. A giant grey mass has captured the sun without ransom and the only hope of clear skies will have to be delivered on another day. Miami is like that. Sometimes the rain stops as quickly as it came and ten minutes after the rain stops the sun erases all traces as if it never happened. Not today.
