SOUTH BEACH STAR is a fictional account of a nightlife writer's adventures in that wonderland called South Beach annd is filled with wonderful characters reminiscent of Holly Golightly from Truman Capote's BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY'S or Little Kiwi from Ethan Mordeen's BUDDIES. Imagine the main character from THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA (yet he's a man in my story) but he gets a job as a nightlife writer and suddenly finds himself fighting to survive in more modern version of BRIGHT LIGHTS BIG CITY while partying with the crew from CELBUTANTES. The main character travels from party to party (the opening of the book has him preparing for a party at Madonna's house) yet his life is definitely no joy ride although everyone thinks he's living a blessed life.
